Some of these colors are not accurate, see above for correct colors.

Oh my god, I had no idea that there were so many trails around here! I hadnt ridden since college (20yrs) and moved up here from Manhattan last year. Our house backs up into FDR and I decided to take up cycling again and began exploring the park for the past two weeks. This weekend I was hoping to venture over to Blue Mtn, but now that I see trails at woodland which is right down 132, I'm going here!

Thank you!

One parking area is at the end of Buckhorn St, found here:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=buckhorn+st&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=wl
parking for 10-12 cars at the end of this dead end road, kiosk with maps as well, enter on trailway and head south to Grantite Knolls.

Next best parking is at intersetion of Strang Blvd and Barberry Road:

Entry is into southern Woodlands park but parking is very residential and limited to 4-5 cars.

Final spot is at the new Woodlands Legacy Fields, also located on Strang Blvd but off of 132. Strang is a confusing road because it is in two unconnected sections (the woods where we ride was supposed to be the connector). Parking at the fields is great but gate is locked when the field is not in use. Get to the intersection of Strang Blvd & Route 132 and turn west to enter the fields.

FYI ALL -
Legacy Field Parking Lot is open all the time now! Also if you get there when games are being played the bathrooms will be open. Not sure at this point if we will keep the gates open between December and March but for now you are good to go.

The Sylvan Glen section of trails, west of Stony St are now open to mtb. Here is the current map:

Not shown are two trails that connect to Granite Knolls at the barn. The pink trail starts near the little bridge on the green Old Farm trail, runs through the green strip to the north, this is where the 400' puncheon bridge is, runs out to the gasline, along the gasline to the east then goes back into the woods and runs diagonally to the northeast corner, this is where the barn is located.

The white trail starts at small quarry between the puncheon and the gasline. It is colocated with pink out to the gasline, it runs straight across the gasline and goes out to the road where some new fields are being put in. Take the road to the bottom and the barn.

The trail conference has put out some new maps. See the Sylvan Glen map for the connecting trails over to Granite Knolls. Note the parking areas and the new dog park off Lexington Ave. Also, the trail connection to Route 202 shown in the lower right.
