So looks like I'll likely be in denver for work in early Dec. Is there typically any riding around that time of year or is it expected to be snowy and stuff?

Ping Jamie B and John (6thelement) - I have their contact info if you want it. They are in CO and I think both near Denver.

It can go either way. I would bring basic gear and hope for the best. FWIW Denver city golf courses are technically open 12 months a year and o my close when they must.

It will depend on weather. Right now everything is in pretty good shape. If we get any rain or snow the trails turn muddy pretty quickly. However, if you get out early before the sun thaws the trails out the riding is still good. Within 20 minutes or so of where I live (just south of Bear Creek Lake Park near Morrison, CO.) there is a ton of riding including: Apex, Chimney Gulch, Mt. Falcon, Lair o' the Bear, Centennial Cone, White Ranch, North Table Mountain, Deer Creek, Bear Creek Lake Park, Green Mountain, Matthews Winters, Dakota Ridge and a few others. With the snow the mountains just got I would assume anything above 8,500 ft will be snowed in.
Call/text if you are interested in trail conditions or a ride. 914-552-4484

Hey guys thanks for chiming in. Unfortunately my trip has fallen through, as my boss has decided to head out this year. Bummer.
