Is Farrington all dried out? (not that I'm down for riding it today)

Just two wet spots on the new climb, rest of the place is good to go.

Farrington update.

All trails past the beginning of The Pond Trail are not owned by the park and are going to be posted. Lawnmower, Hokey Pokey, Ravine Trail are all out and should not be ridden on. People have been parking on Joe's Hill Road and blocking fire hydrants, the property owner (AIG) was out checking the property and was told to F off when he told them they were on private property. Additionally land owner employees were out on the trails and when they were told they were trespassing they told the the employees to F off.

I am told the police will be called if people are seen riding, quadding or whatever there.

Didn't NEMBA design and build these trails? Don't they know where the property lines are?

Did you hear about this through the NEMBA rep?

Those are not NEMBA trails.

No, from the land manager.

What?! So basically the only legal trails are the short twisty out of the parking lot and the lower loop that goes east above the pond? Not having trail names posted makes this difficult to know what's good to go and what's not.

Looking at the map it's not very clear where the park ends and they begin. The climb and twister seen to be the end. The trail to the pond it definitely out. Lawnmower is right next to the road and one of their properties - you see the old tennis court at one point. The trail past the pond are also out. It will be posted at some point - not sure when. Until then, if you should happen to ride there and come across someone who tells you it's private property be VERY cordial and explain that you weren't aware it was and that you won't ride there again.......

Sux. Let us know when things are posted properly so we can safely get back in there. Until then I think I'll just stay away rather than be part of the problem.

Terrible, gem of a spot, with the finest armoring I've seen to date.

There's still alot there. If you take the trail to the pond at one right turn there is a ride-over rock. If you make a left there and go straight over the ride you'll find the old access road. Go up about 100 yards and on the left is the trail/segment Hokey Pokey. Hop in there and go left and you'll head to the lower trails. The boundary lines I was shown are in that area and not really clear. What is clear is to stay away from the pond and the trails near it. Lawnmower is out.......

Have any property lines been posted yet? This - http://www.danbury-ct.gov/filestorage/2 ... odsMap.gif tells me that most of the trail mileage is off limits other than the lower loop. This - http://www.vizettes.com/fc-mtnbikingmap ... /index.htm would mean that Hokey Pokey and the Devils Den trails are a no go as well. Who is the land manager for the NY side? It is listed as Farrington Park on several maps and appears to go almost to Joes Hill Rd.
