My mom wants a bike for XC and trail riding in Lake Tahoe.

Size: 14.5/XS/15.5 (She's 5'3")
Hardtail or FS
Aluminum or carbon
26 or 27.5 wheels

Budget is, lets say, $750-2000, depending on what it is.

Thanks Andy, but I think that'll be too long for my mom. She's only 5'3" so probably needs a 14.5"/15" bike with something like a 21.5 top tube.

Beast of the east is awesome, but she needs an XS, unfortunately. And I need an L - or I'd get it for me, LOL.

I have barely used Schwinn size small (15 inch).
